Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky
Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky 29 July 1817 – 2 May 1900 was born into an Armenian family in the Black Sea port of Feodosia in Crimea. Aivazovsky is considered to be one of the greatest masters of marine art. He was honored during his life but his childhood was not easy, because his family was not rich and had not an opportunity to afford buying paints, but little Aivazzovsky found way out by drawing on white walls with coal.
When Aivazovski finished painting his picture *Chaos*
he presented it in Italy, and when Pope Gregory XVI saw this picture he wanted
to buy it, but his priests suspected Aivazovsky in hiding in this picture
images of evils, than cardinals made a consilium and chcked every part of this
picture, and did not find anything. That is the
way how *Chaos* appeared in Vatican.

Interesting fact is that Aivazovsky wrote all his
thousands pictures in his room, not by sitting on the beach.
One of the most popular pictures of Aivazovsky is *9-th wave*. There you
can see people survived after the storm. Using warm paints can give us hope
that people will escape their fate, but wave which is coming on them make us
feel like something scary will happen to them.
